Centennial Bank . This position conducts transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. The teller safeguards bank assets and promotes and cross‑sells bank products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, pays out cash, and handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals and transfers (daily, ~15%).
Sets up, closes and balances teller station (daily, ~10%).
Records sales of monetary instruments (daily, ~5%).
Assists customers with inquiries in person or by telephone (daily, ~10%).
Maintains neat and well‑stocked teller area (weekly, ~5%).
Cross‑sells bank products and services (as needed, ~5%).
Follows limits established for protection of customer accounts and bank safety (daily, ~5%).
Adheres to bank policies and procedures (daily, ~5%).
Lifts coin bags up to 50 lbs. (as needed, ~5%).
Assists with balancing Vault, ATM, Night Drop, and Coin Machine (as needed, ~5%).
Assists with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work (as needed, ~5%).
Exercises judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions (daily, ~10%).
Cross‑trains to be available to open basic new consumer accounts (as needed, ~5%).
Adheres to work schedule and remains flexible for alternative locations (daily, ~5%).
Maintains positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance (daily, ~5%).
Works in a safe manner, remains alert (daily).
Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training (quarterly).
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
Education: Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with emphasis in office or shop skills.
Experience: 0–6 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in person and in small group situations with customers and employees.
Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, and perform these skills using money and other measurements.
Critical Thinking: Ability to carry out simple multi‑step instructions and deal with standardized situations with limited variables.
Certifications: None required; preferred certifications not indicated.
Software: Basic 10‑Key, spreadsheet, word processing/typing.

Occasional exposure to noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting.
