The Teller I conducts transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining service quality standards and safeguarding bank assets. Essential Duties
Receive cash, process deposits, withdrawals and transfers. Set up, close and balance teller station. Record sales of monetary instruments. Assist customers with inquiries in person or by phone. Maintain a neat and well-stocked teller area. Cross‑sell bank products and services. Follow limits and controls to protect customer accounts and bank assets. Adhere to bank policies and procedures. Lift coin bags up to 50 pounds as needed. Assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop and coin machine. Scan bank documents and perform proof work. Make hold and check cashing decisions. Open basic new consumer accounts. Maintain a flexible schedule and positive attitude. Work alternative locations within region as required. Work in a state of alertness and safety. Complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training. Perform any other related duties as required. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED. Experience:
0–6 months related experience or training. Skills:
Basic math, 10‑key ability, cash handling, communication, customer service, critical thinking, and ability to work in a cash‑handling business environment. Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods. Preferred
