Accounts Payable Specialist (Direct Hire | Fully Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in a direct hire, fully onsite role located west of Schenectady, NY. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume distribution or manufacturing environment and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing outgoing payments to vendor accounts and ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the accounts payable process. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities
Open and sort incoming mail and invoices Coordinate invoice approvals and process purchase order invoices using 3-way matching Post invoices with accurate general ledger coding Generate and process payments using the SAP accounting system Process and clear weekly outgoing payments Maintain and update supplier information, including new vendor setup Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Research and resolve invoice and payment issues as needed Qualifications & Skills
