Position Overview The Sacramento Legal Office is seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated Human Resource Liaison for the Department of Transportation’s Legal Division. Under the direction of the Legal Division’s Chief of Staff, the Human Resource Liaison will provide personnel and administrative support to all legal offices, including hiring, benefits, job duty analysis, separations, and retirements.

Responsibilities

Represent the Legal Division in personnel services and provide assistance to division supervisors.

Support hiring, benefits, organizational management, job duty analysis, employee separations, and retirements.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of California state department HR practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Governmental Program Analyst (classification – JC‑502374).

Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 and all required application documents.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) – must be completed and submitted with the application.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge of public and business administration, budgeting, personnel, and management analysis.

Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to act independently and work as a team.
