We encourage you to consider joining NCDOT where our work not only serves the citizens of North Carolina but has an impact on our world through all modes of transportation.**Description of Work**This position will provide comprehensive and innovative planning, analytical and technical assistance to DMV staff in the preparation of programs and applications to support research, instructional and administrative activities. This position requires close collaboration with our Information Technology Department, the iNovah Payment Card System application, and SADLS members to resolve application issues.

This position has five distinct functions:

1. Systems & Technical Testing

• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, regression testing, and defect tracking.

• Coordinate testing activities with DIT, CBN, and external vendor testing teams.

2. Credential Issuance & Identity Vetting

• Ensure all workflows related to credential issuance comply with AAMVA, REAL ID, and SAVE requirements.

• Design and implement examiner-facing workflows for ID vetting, document uploads, and remote credentialing services.

3. CDL / Compliance Modernization

• Support system testing and rollout for CDLIS, CSTIMS, downgrade automation, and medical certification systems.

• Monitor and ensure alignment with FMCSA regulations and CDL compliance standards.

4. Field Operations & Training Integration

• Partner with the DMV Training Unit to develop training materials based on new workflows and technologies.

• Support pilot deployments in selected offices and provide hands-on field assistance during statewide rollouts.

5. Process Development & Deployment Coordination

• Draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), triage workflows, and deployment checklists.

• Coordinate scheduling, communication strategies, and field-level implementation of customer-facing process changes.

The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: experience coordinating and implementing IT projects, experience coordinating testing activities with vendor testing teams, experience developing training materials for new technology implementation, and/or experience writing standard operating procedures for system updates/implementations.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences**Salary Grade and Salary Range:
