The College of Education is seeking applications for short‑term, fixed‑term faculty positions (.74 FTE or less) for one or more semesters during the upcoming academic year. Positions are contingent upon availability of funding.

Job Duties The College is recruiting part‑time, fixed‑term teaching faculty at the following titles: Teaching Instructor, Senior Teaching Instructor, Master Teaching Instructor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Research Instructor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, Research Professor, Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor.
Acceptable Qualifications
Master’s degree in the teaching discipline for undergraduate courses
Terminal degree in the teaching discipline for graduate courses
Alternate professional competencies and achievements such as related graduate education, professional certifications, related work experience, honors and awards. All educational credentials must be documented from an appropriately accredited institution or be certified as equivalent.
Special Instructions to Applicant Applicants must complete a candidate profile online and submit a curriculum vitae/resume, a list of at least two references with contact information, a cover letter, and official transcript(s). Two to three current original signed letters of reference are required prior to employment. If selected as a candidate of choice, an email will be sent to the individuals listed as references through the PeopleAdmin tracking system. Letters not submitted through PeopleAdmin must be original and signed before employment.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Application Process Final candidates are subject to criminal & sex‑offender background checks. Some vacancies may also require credit or motor vehicle checks. ECU participates in E‑Verify and verifies employment eligibility. If the highest degree earned is from an institution outside the U.S., the degree must be validated as equivalent to one conferred by a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
