Full time position available
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHCM/CSU roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay at CHCM/CSU in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Listed below is the job description:
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Provides secretarial and clerical support including but not limited to: preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, assisting patients, scheduling meetings and outside appointments, maintaining files, logs and patient charts and working on special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Detail oriented, good organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to use personal computer for word processing.
· Ability to interface with adult patients, 45+
· Must complete CPR and MAB within 90 days of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting for long periods of time. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Occasional pulling and pushing up to 20 pounds. Corrected vision and hearing to a normal range. Finger dexterity. Occasional exposure to stressful situations.

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General Staff Accountabilities

· Observes allotted break and meal periods as prescribed by Hospital Policy and follows time card procedures by accurately writing in and out.

· Adheres to the Dress Code.
· Demonstrates an understanding of personal role in the case of a fire/disaster, and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
· Functions with an awareness of patient safety issues and applies basic principles of safety as identified within the facility.
· Follows the occurrence reporting policy and procedure in reporting any potential safety issues.

· Inputs and reconciles patient billing accurately and timely.
· Effectively maintains adequate supply of inventory.
· Completes all typing assignments accurately and timely.
· Assembles charts and files chart forms accurately and timely.
· Maintains master copy file accurately.
· Effectively maintains staff activities calendar.
· Completes any searches or researches in an accurate and complete manner.
· Accurately distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
· Accurately responds to and/or takes and relays telephone calls.
· Consistently shows attention to all appropriate details.
· Consistently keeps the work area neat and professional in appearance.
· Answers inquiries, or refers them to others, properly and accurately.
· Promptly and properly receives all visitors.
· Consistently keeps filing, logging, record keeping, calendar, patient charts and any projects current and in proper order.
· Demonstrates thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and composition.
· Effectively demonstrates understanding of hospital organization, operations, policies, and procedures.
· Effectively sets up appropriate office systems.
· Continuously shelters Program Director/Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse from unwanted interruptions.
· Effectively assists with orientation of new employees in department.
· Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
Customer Service
