Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support overall dental health initiatives. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Experience with Dentrix and DEXIS software is essential to maintain accurate medical records and documentation. The Registered Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive oral health services in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Duties

Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup

Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, and medical history review.

Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies

Perform procedures such as medical imaging, fluoride treatments, and sealants

Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality

Document treatment procedures accurately in Dentrix

Review medical records and ensure proper documentation review for each patient visit

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes

Keep up-to-date with the latest dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and dental coding requirements

Experience

Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations

Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment

Proficiency in using Dentrix for documentation and record keeping

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques

Familiarity with medical imaging procedures (DEXIS), vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment techniques

Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, dental coding, and documentation review processes
