JOB SUMMARY

The Structural Welder is responsible for performing the full range of journey-level structural welding, fitting, and fabrication. This position will assist with planning, scheduling, fabricating, and installing complex structural assemblies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Review blueprints and design drawings to prepare material take-offs. Perform all phases of advanced layout, positioning, aligning, and welding of structural metal products and components in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Complete structural steel demolition and modification, including removal, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly of parts using cutting torches, air arc, plasma torch and power tools. Cut steel, stainless, and aluminum using oxy-acetylene, plasma torches, band saws, shears, and punches. Perform grinding, buffing, and prepping metal parts prior to welding. Clean up after welding, removing all slag, smoke, and spatter to produce a quality weld. Support the erection of steel structures, platforms, support, stairs, and handrails. Calculate the weight of and find the center of gravity of complex structures and structural steel members. Supervise and coordinate the work of apprentice welders and other crew members. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with company and customer policies and procedures. Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

A valid driver's license is required. A high school diploma or GED is required. Four (4) years' experience working as a Structural Welder is required. SMAW certification is required. FCAW certification is required. GMAW certification is required. A North Slope Training Cooperative safety training certification is required. Ability to pass pulmonary function and respirator fit tests. Ability to work 80.5 - 84 hours a week on a 3x3 or 4x2 rotation is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) - five (5) years' experience working as a Structural Welder in a construction or industrial setting, in the Oil and Gas industry, Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, or in an Arctic environment is preferred. TOTAL REWARDS
