The successful candidate will provide high‑quality patient care, supervise students, and serve as a key liaison among clinical faculty at the RSDM University John H. Cronin Dental Center in Northfield, NJ (Atlantic County).
The position is non‑tenure track with a minimum annual salary of $117,558.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of patient care and post‑treatment management, including recare.
Ensure compliance with RSDM policies and procedures outlined in the Clinic Manual, Radiation Hazard, Infection Control, Patient’s Bill of Rights, Confidentiality policies, and Quality Assurance protocols.
Supervise and instruct students by demonstration when required.
Review completed patient treatment records and records prior to termination of treatment.
Maintain RSDM standards for student education in collaboration with site faculty.
Conduct small‑group discussions with students and participate in CODE faculty standardization and calibration.
Evaluate students’ competencies and assist in quality and quantity review of dental personnel.
Remain current in the field of dentistry and perform dentistry using appropriate pharmacological adjuncts.
Consult with the medical staff on oral manifestations of medical conditions and on oral pathology.
Arrange program and treatment for patients experiencing oral trauma, pain, infection, and other pathology.
Assist in preventive dentistry, dental education, and oral hygiene programs.
Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gingiva, mucosa, and related oral structures with sensitivity.
Cleans, restores, extracts, and replaces teeth using rotary, hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical instruments.
Administer local anesthesia and other supportive medication.
Keep necessary records and reports for patient discharge and control.
Serve on call (administratively, operationally, and clinically) and handle dental emergencies.
Adhere to Rutgers compliance standards including RBHS Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Stay abreast of federal, state, and Rutgers regulations, laws, and policies and ensure staff training and evaluation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum: DDS/DMD degree from a CODA‑accredited school.
Must possess or be eligible for a New Jersey dental license.
Experience teaching and supervising dental students is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive patient care and manage clinical operations.
Strong knowledge of RSDM standards and institutional policies.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
The work environment is a clinical dental setting with exposure to typical occupational hazards associated with dental procedures.
