Salary & Benefits Salary: $162,421 – $230,000.

The final salary offer may be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, experience, expertise, and availability of departmental or grant funds to support the position.

We also consider market benchmarks and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Posting Summary Required knowledge, skills and abilities include developing a strong independent research program within the Center for Immunity and Inflammation and in the department of primary appointment.

The incumbent is expected to participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research as well as graduate education.

A substantial extramurally funded research program will be maintained at New Jersey Medical School.

Center for Immunity & Inflammation The Center is an integral part of the newly established Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (i3D) at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS).

Research in Infection and Inflammation has been selected for strategic development at RBHS with a vision of transforming this already strong program into a center of excellence and international reputation.

Core resources include flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, state‑of‑the‑art proteomics and genomics centers, and newly renovated animal facilities.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:

Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, post‑doctoral experience, excellent communication skills, and a record of productivity in immunology.

Candidate Requirements:

Assistant‑Professor level candidates should have a substantial trajectory toward developing a rigorous, externally‑funded immunology research program.

Associate‑Professor level candidates should have a national scientific reputation, current research funding, and a history of mentorship and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications Equipment utilized will depend on the area of research and methods used.

The CII Core Facilities include:

Biostatistics Core

Center for Genome Informatics

Experimental Histology & Confocal Imaging Core

Flow Cytometry and Immunology Core Laboratory

Molecular Resource Facility

Transgenic Core Services

Physical Demands and Work Environment Some light lifting is required.

The Investigator will have a private office located near their designated laboratory.
