The Inpatient Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) will provide specialized nursing care for patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. This role requires an experienced RN with a focus on wound care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs. Perform wound care procedures including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control. Educate patients and families regarding ostomy care and wound management. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare team members. Document patient progress and outcomes in the electronic health record. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state. Wound Care Certification (WCC) required. BLS certification required. Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification (WOCN) preferred. Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience in wound care. Why ARMStaffing?
