Overview Supports Human Resources Corporate leadership team focusing on HR Compliance and Audit activities across the system. Works under close coordination with Corporate Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) and other Corporate HR leaders. Provides policy interpretation, information, counseling, and support to leaders, managers, and employees. Reviews compliance and audit findings and makes recommendations based on current policy for investigation, documentation, and alternative actions. Provides support in performing needs assessments through regularly scheduled entity audits; reports findings and outcomes to assure appropriate follow‑up through case closure. Researches, collects, compiles, and analyzes metrics such as turnover and engagement to report findings and inform presentations and special projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Supports corporate and entity HR leaders, focusing on compliance and audit matters including hotline complaints, discrimination or harassment investigations, climate surveys, and other employment issues.

Coordinates with Corporate CHROs and Directors to identify compliance gaps and recommend mitigation of legal and regulatory risks.

Maintains current knowledge of federal and state laws and Baptist policies; shares information and provides timely counsel to ensure fair application of rules and protocols.

Deploys audit processes to prepare HR leaders and stakeholders for regulatory readiness, including Joint Commission, state and federal surveys, and employment investigations.

Communicates, updates, and reports on compliance and audit findings, outlines improvement areas, and follows up to monitor progress.

Researches best practices for HR compliance and audit program delivery; analyzes data to assess trends in turnover, engagement, and process improvement with HR leaders.

Communicates and implements changes or recommendations related to new HR compliance standards or audit findings.

Collaborates with other compliance representatives and departments (Legal Services, Privacy and Security, Risk Services, Corporate Compliance, Accreditation) to strengthen HR compliance and audit tactics.

Conducts designated HR training sessions on HR policies and compliance standards, working with Corporate HR leaders and the System Director of Learning and Engagement.

Performs other duties as directed and completes assigned goals and metrics.

Experience

Minimum: 2 years directly related experience in Human Resources.

Preferred: 3 years Human Resources experience in a health care setting.

Education

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent field.

Special Skills

Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills for disseminating data and information.

Knowledge and experience with automated HR/Payroll systems.

Licensure Preferred: Certification as SPHR or PHR.
