Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
Analyze production costs, variances, and profitability reports.
Perform inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory counts.
Prepare detailed cost reports for management, highlighting trends and opportunities.
Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs.
Identify and analyze cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Monitor and review bills of material (BOMs) and routings for accuracy.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Bonus Qualifications
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience
Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
