Description
Surgery Procedural Scheduler for Providence Portland Medical Center. Work hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
The Specialty Surgery Scheduling team is accountable for scheduling complex surgical and medical procedures. This includes obtaining appropriate surgical procedure, specialized equipment, and other resources, implants, and current/historical medical information such as ICD‑10 coding, medical history (including allergies) and patient demographics. The role requires advanced knowledge of medical terminology and enterprise scheduling protocols.

Required Qualifications
Intermediate Medical Terminology and Physical Anatomy coursework or equivalent education/experience.
Three years of medical office or hospital experience in the surgery field.
Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Business or college coursework.
One or more years of medical scheduling experience.
