How You’ll Contribute
As a Disbursement Supervisor, you will lead and support a team responsible for processing life and annuity financial transactions while delivering a high level of customer service and operational excellence. In this role, you will partner closely with the Policy Administration team and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant disbursements.

What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for life and annuity financial disbursement transactions, including withdrawals, surrenders, loans, RMDs, exchanges, transfers, and income payments
Manage day‑to‑day team operations, including workflow prioritization, productivity monitoring, scheduling, and time‑off approvals
Provide guidance and support on complex or escalated transactions and customer inquiries
Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards
Conduct quality reviews and analyze performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Interpret policies and procedures, recommend enhancements, and elevate complex issues as appropriate
Prepare reports and written communications for internal partners, agents, and policyholders
Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that supports collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement
Support broader Policy Administration initiatives and contribute to departmental and company goals
What You’ll Bring
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of annuity and/or life insurance experience
3 or more years of life and annuity insurance experience preferred
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Familiarity with annuity financial service requests preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly
Ability to lead with empathy and work effectively with diverse teams and perspectives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Adaptability and comfort navigating change in a fast‑paced environment
Solid understanding of annuity and/or life insurance products
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn proprietary systems
Confidence handling escalated calls and complex situations with professionalism and care
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use
Ability to talk, hear, and see continuously throughout the workday
Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands for fine manipulation
Ability to lift and carry light materials on an occasional basis
