Retail Service Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts Become part of O'Reilly Auto Parts’ dynamic team. The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. When needed, the specialist manages shifts in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.

Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).

Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.

Process all buy online/ship to store, hub, store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers on shipment arrivals.

Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.

Process retail customer returns and exchanges accurately, issuing refunds and staging returned merchandise in the returns area.

Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store.

Communicate Zipline messages; delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks.

Ensure team members follow the posted work schedule, obtain approvals for changes, and clock in/out per company policy.

Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying deposits, preparing bank deposits, securing the building, and managing security systems.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Required

Strong communication skills.

Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Desired

Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.

Automotive systems and repair knowledge.

ASE Certification.

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
