Night shift, 3x12.0 hours per week. Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport within the facility as medically prescribed. This role requires evaluation of patients and the recommendation of treatment plans, as well as explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients, alongside providing necessary education during discharge. Responsibilities
Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment and oxygen devices. Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning of patients using multiple methods. Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy. Review patients' chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies. Assist in procedures related to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care. Perform arterial punctures and monitor test results efficiently. Manage mechanical ventilation equipment and perform routine maintenance. Document all treatments and patient responses thoroughly on respiratory care records. Communicate effectively with physicians regarding therapy efficiency and report during hand-offs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current Respiratory Therapist license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting. Why ARMStaffing?
