Night shift, 3x12.0 hours. Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed. This role operates under minimal supervision, evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans. The therapist is responsible for explaining procedures to patients and providing necessary education upon discharge. Responsibilities
Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory and oxygen devices. Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by varying methods. Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy. Review patient's chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies. Assist with respiratory care-related procedures, including bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. Document treatments and patient responses accurately in patient records. Communicate effectively with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficacy. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Experience with ventilatory equipment and respiratory care procedures. Why ARMStaffing?
