Utility Worker
Transdev in Chula Vista, CA is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Transdev is proud to offer:
$20.88 per hour
Starting pay $20.88 with progression based on CBA negotiation over a 3‑year period
Benefits include:
Vacation: up to 35 days per year—based on years of service and hours worked

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles—interior and exterior
Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log and record all fluids
Download drive cameras, probes, and fare boxes
Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
Report maintenance issues to supervisor
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Physical Demands:
Less than 10% of work is accomplished indoors and in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities
Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in an open garage facility
Requires considerable use of arms, repetitive hand‑wrist motion, legs, and full body movement—climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
May be exposed to cleaning chemicals; safety protective gear is available
