Utility Worker – Transdev North America Location: Chula Vista, CA

Job Type: Full Time

Overview Utility Worker/Service Employee performs basic vehicle servicing duties, maintains vehicle cleanliness, fuels buses, performs light maintenance, reports issues, and assists with related duties.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior

Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles

Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluid activities

Download drive camera data and fare box information

Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities

Report maintenance issues to supervisor

Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years

Subject to DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable

Physical Demands

Less than 10% of work in air‑conditioned facilities

Greater than 90% of work in an open garage facility

Physical activities requiring use of arms, repetitive hand‑wrist motion, and legs (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling materials)

May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds

May be exposed to cleaning chemicals; safety protective gear provided

Benefits

Pay: $20.88 per hour, progressing based on CBA negotiations over a 3‑year period

Vacation: up to 35 days per year, based on service and hours worked

Paid Sick Leave: 40 hours per year
