Summary Pyramid Healthcare is a national leader in behavioral healthcare. We are proud to operate a residential substance use disorder treatment center in Catasauqua, PA, for adults. We are currently seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to support our clients and staff. The BHT is an integral part of our clients’ well‑being and our daily operations. The BHT is the frontline support for our clients, going through every motion of the day with them. Pay $15/hour before shift differentials.

Shift Options

3rd shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Shift Differentials

1st Shift diff: (Saturday and Sunday) $1.00

2nd Shift diff: (Monday‑Friday) $1.00; (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

3rd Shift diff: (Monday‑Friday) $1.50; (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

Responsibilities

Assist with the intake process for new clients into the program.

Communicate with staff verbally or in written communication logs, and be responsible for detailed client logs.

Listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment, and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention.

Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.

Conduct mandatory bed checks as required per department and complete the bed-check sheet for shift reporting.

Attend shift changes, team meetings, and company meetings.

Ensure the client schedule is being followed daily.

Assist with interventions with clients.

Follow the objectives of treatment plans.

Monitor the medication line.

Transport clients to meetings and recreational activities.

Conduct searches of clients when they return to the facility.

Monitor treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs.

Uphold therapeutic boundaries and staff code of ethics.

Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide input.

Distribute client snacks as needed.

Train new staff on the unit, program, and milieu.

Help with the upkeep of the facility.

Assist clients with obtaining a sponsor.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.

Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health.

Facilitating process groups and family sessions.
