Product Demonstrator
Part time – $16.50 per hour
Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations.
The role requires acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers, and demonstrating products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance.
Responsibilities
Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate product knowledge.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as the event execution.
Access the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or 1‑3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates:
Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching overhead up to 65 inches, talking, hearing, reading, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing or stepping up a ladder, balancing, lifting & carrying up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), pushing & pulling a wheeled demonstration cart full of appliances and supplies, and handling cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance:
Professional appearance and proper grooming; specific retailer dress code included in training documents.
Language Skills:
English primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
