Server Assistant - mar'sel (Fine Dining - Part Time) Terranea Resort

Responsibilities

Set up dining room area according to mar’sel restaurant’s standards

Consistently keep the restaurant organized and clean

Setup Trash cans, soda, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at start of shift

Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day

Set up heat lamps or umbrellas per a guest’s request

Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.

Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

Anticipate and address guests’ service needs

Speak with others using clear and professional language

Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests

Set tables according to service standards

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company and FORBES standards

Run food and bus tables

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Adhere to departmental policies and procedures

Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees

Perform related duties as required

Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property

Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy

Be courteous to all guests and coworkers

Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook

Qualifications

High School diploma preferred

Have at least 2 years of experience in bartending, in addition to knowledge of French/Californian cuisine

Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational individual

Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English

Ability to implement and uphold service standards

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments

Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort

Ability to work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations

Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time

Must be able to multitask

Experience, Education & Licensure

2 years of experience in fine dining preferred

Hotel experience preferred

Compensation Base Pay Start Rate $16.90 + Tips!
