Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and filed in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure that patient records are accurate and complete.
Process and manage medical records requests, including releasing information to insurance companies and other authorized parties.
Develop and implement processes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and JCAHO.
Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to patient and family inquiries and concerns.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and easily accessible.
Requirements
1 year of experience in a medical records setting (entry‑level candidates encouraged to apply)
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
