Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records , ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and filed in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals , including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure that patient records are accurate and complete.
Process and manage medical records requests , including releasing information to insurance companies and other authorized parties.
Develop and implement processes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements , such as HIPAA and JCAHO.
Provide excellent customer service , responding promptly to patient and family inquiries and concerns.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records , ensuring that all necessary information is documented and easily accessible.
Requirements
1 year of experience in a medical records setting (entry‑level candidates encouraged to apply)
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
