Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Position Type: PRN (As Needed)
Schedule: Scheduled days per week - TBD
Minimum Availability Requirement: Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours every 90 days
Position Summary Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) is seeking an experienced and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice Start of Care (SOC) to provide skilled nursing services to patients in their homes. This role is responsible for completing comprehensive Start of Care, visits, while supporting high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing evaluations and routine skilled visits as assigned
Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care
Perform skilled nursing interventions, assessments, and patient education
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary care team
Ensure compliance with Medicare, state, and agency regulations
Complete documentation accurately and within required timeframes
Participate in required compliance training and departmental development activities
PRN Pay Guidelines
Admission (SOC): $150.00 per visit
RN Visit: $75.00 per visit
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas
Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required; hospice experience strongly preferred
Current CPR certification
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Strong assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality home health care
