RN Qualifications and Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state eligibility
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or medical surgical telemetry setting
BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Ability to float within the resource pool as needed
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Compliance with all healthcare onboarding requirements (health screenings, competency testing, background check, etc.)
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post‑discharge care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and nursing policies
Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols
