Work Schedule
90% FTE, Evening/night shift with a weekend and holiday rotation. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered, and this position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Pay
Shift differentials: $4/hour evening, $5/hour night, $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked.

Role Overview As a Charge Nurse/Care Team Leader, you’ll be more than a nurse—you’ll be a front-line leader shaping exceptional patient care and supporting an extraordinary team.
Responsibilities
Lead with Purpose: Serve as a trusted leader and resource for your team while caring for patients with complex, inspiring journeys.
Impact Lives Every Day: Provide expert care for acutely ill patients, including those undergoing stem cell transplants, CAR T-cell therapy, and end-of-life care.
Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with management on hiring decisions, patient experience initiatives, and quality improvement projects that drive real change.
Advance Your Expertise: Gain specialized knowledge through formal education in hematologic malignancies, oncologic emergencies, stem cell transplant, palliative care, and chemotherapy certification.

Education Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Work Experience
2 years experience in an inpatient unit (Required).
2 years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years' experience in an inpatient unit (Required).
3 years experience in an acute care inpatient unit (Preferred).
Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population (Preferred).
Licenses & Certifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact (Required).
Current CPR/BLS certification (Required).
National certification in relevant specialty (Preferred).
