Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Professional Development Coordinator for our Irvine, CA office. The Professional Development Coordinator supports the firm’s attorney and staff development initiatives by coordinating training programs, continuing legal education (CLE) compliance, and career development resources. This role ensures that professional development efforts align with the firm’s strategic goals and foster a culture of learning and excellence. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
Training & Development Coordination: Organize and schedule attorney and staff training programs, including CLE sessions.
CLE & Compliance Management: Track CLE credits and ensure attorneys meet state bar requirements; maintain accurate records and prepare compliance reports for attorneys and firm leadership.
Program Administration: Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual training sessions, including materials, technology, and vendor management; manage the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) and update course offerings.
Career Development Support: Serve as a resource for attorneys and staff seeking guidance on professional growth opportunities; assist with mentoring programs and performance feedback processes.
Data & Reporting: Monitor participation and evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and metrics; prepare reports for leadership on training outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
7+ years of experience in professional development, training coordination, or HR within a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with LMS platforms.
Knowledge of CLE requirements and state bar regulations.
Experience with attorney development programs and legal industry best practices.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
Core Competencies
Detail-oriented and proactive.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Compensation: The range for 7-10 years is approximately $59k - $87k. Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
