Accounting Manager – Waltham, MA Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 per year. Responsibilities Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors. Help develop and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation. Work cross-functionally with other departments to support financial needs. Participate in special projects and process automation initiatives. Supervise and mentor accounting staff; provide performance feedback and training as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Qualifications CPA designation Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required Knowledge 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Leadership potential and interest in growing into a management position.
