JOB DESCRIPTION Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Primary Care in East Hanover

Overview We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary care and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to patients. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive physical examination, well woman health assessments, etc.

Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs

Develop and implement treatment plans

Prescribe appropriate medication

Provide patient education and counseling on health issues and preventive care

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Close all charts, finish all notes, and follow up with all results in a timely manner

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other practice activities

Performs other related duties as assigned

Adhere to evidenced based and best practice guidelines

Maintain and participate in all patient centered medical home standards and requirements

Maintain the highest professional standards in a manner consistent with current office policy

Follow all current office policies and procedures

Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey

Experience in a primary care setting preferred

EPIC experience preferred

ACLS and BLS required

Must have excellent communication and computer skills

Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
