Temporary Document Scanner
to join our growing team! The temporary Scanning Clerk will be responsible for digitizing, organizing, and archiving a high volume of physical documents. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict confidentiality protocols, and the ability to operate scanning equipment effectively to ensure the project timeline is met.
This role is based out of the Walnut Creek, CA office.
Temporary, full-time position.
Compensation:
Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $25.00 - $30.00 an hour.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Document Preparation:
Prepare physical documents for scanning, including removing staples, sorting pages, and ensuring all necessary information is present.
Scanning and Digitizing:
Operate high-speed scanning equipment and associated software to create digital copies of records.
Review scanned images for clarity, accuracy, and completeness, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
Indexing and Filing:
Accurately index and file digital documents into the designated electronic document management system, ensuring correct categorization and data entry.
Physical Archiving:
Organize and archive the original physical documents for long-term storage or secure shredding, following established company procedures and legal requirements.
Troubleshooting:
Address minor equipment malfunctions and collaborate with the Project Manager on significant technical issues.
Reporting:
Track and report on daily/weekly scanning progress to ensure the project remains on schedule and meets productivity standards.
Key Competencies and Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience with scanning equipment and document management systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and quality control.
Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of confidentiality protocols, especially when handling sensitive information (e.g., medical or legal records).
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move boxes of documents (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
