is currently seeking candidates for a
Maintenance Manager
role in Cherokee, IA. Our client is a well-established manufacturing industry leader known for innovation and a strong commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence, reliability, and safety across all aspects of their manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team to ensure effective execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Oversee maintenance of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to support operational goals and reduce disruptions.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, working hands‑on when needed to support timely repairs.
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies (e.g., OSHA, GMPs).
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within the CMMS.
Promptly address and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or facility concerns.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certifications preferred.
3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and respond to off‑shift or emergency maintenance needs as required.
