Responsibilities

Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations between PeopleSoft Financials and myCalPERS for the Judges’ II Retirement Fund.

Generate reconciliations for each general ledger account using PeopleSoft queries, myCalPERS reports, State Controller’s Office receipts, and related resources.

Analyze general ledger activity to ensure accurate financial transactions.

Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and explain account balance fluctuations.

Post correcting journal entries to PeopleSoft Financials as needed.

Working Conditions

Office‑centered; primarily onsite at Sacramento headquarters (minimum three weekdays).

Work may require sitting for extended periods.

Travel between buildings may be required.

Environment: low‑wall cubicle space with fluorescent lighting.

Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Special Requirements Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)

Describe your knowledge and experience analyzing, monitoring, and reconciling general ledger accounts. Include the type of account, timing of reconciliations, and accounting systems used.

List relevant experience, education, and training, including dates, duties performed, and places of employment.

Answer the specific statements above in numbered format, typed, titled “Statement of Qualifications.” The SOQ must be one page or less, and no smaller than Arial 11 point.

All experience and education related to the Minimum Qualifications must be included in the application package to demonstrate how you meet the MQs. Transcripts and foreign degree evaluations, if applicable, should be submitted.
