Posting Summary

The Office of Continuing Professional Education, part of NJAES -Cooperative Extension, invites applications for instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners at various locations throughout New Jersey and/or online. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with Program Coordinator, and follow-up with necessary paperwork. Course topics include but are not limited to: Soft Skills such as Diversity, Leadership and Management, Communications; and Computer Skills such as Microsoft applications and Adobe software. We welcome new course ideas in certifications as well as management, leadership, and supervisory skills.

Salary Details: A range of $25-200 per hour. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Also requires a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication/facilitation techniques. Computer literacy and familiarity with the development and facilitation of online instruction. Experienced in delivering live‑online training/workshops/programs/classes via Zoom, Webex, or other virtual platforms.

Preferred Qualifications: Laptop, projector, webcam.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: May have to carry up to 25 lbs in course materials/books for in‑person classes. Locations vary throughout the state or online.
