Instructor – Part‑time Non‑Credit Turf Classes
We invite applications for instructors to teach non‑credit courses (multi‑hour sessions) in the Turf Management Program at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. The position is part‑time, may be held in‑person, remotely, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities
Develop and present course material during assigned course times.
Coordinate materials with the Program Coordinator and submit required paperwork.
Deliver live‑online training via Zoom, Webex or other virtual platforms.
Propose new course ideas to broaden instructor expertise and keep participants up to date with industry trends.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5 years of relevant professional experience in turf management or a related industry.
Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
Knowledge of classroom management, adult learning and facilitation techniques.
Computer literacy and familiarity with developing and facilitating online instruction.
Experience delivering live‑online workshops, programs or classes.
Preferred Equipment
Laptop, webcam, and projector (required for delivery of material not available in the courses).
Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $25–$200, depending on qualifications and experience. Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, retirement, etc.) to eligible employees.
