Agricultural and Technology Education Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool) Montana State University – Office of Student Engagement. Position type: Full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty (Instructor). Part‑time appointments may range from 0.5‑1.0 FTE. Salary commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

Position Overview Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non‑tenurable level instruction and related functions. Instructors are needed to teach classes depending upon need and available funding. The department or program search committees or hiring authority will review and evaluate the submitted application materials. Applicants will be notified if they are retained in the non‑tenure track faculty hiring pool.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching on‑campus or online courses.

Advising, evaluating, and assisting students.

Participating in departmental faculty meetings and other departmental functions.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

BS degree in Agricultural Education, Technology Education, or other field relevant to the position.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

MS degree.

Prior teaching experience directly related to the position.

Experience teaching face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online courses using a learning management system.

Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.

Demonstrated knowledge of college student development.

Success Profile

Work effectively with diverse student populations.

Collaborate successfully with faculty and staff.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Use engaging pedagogy that involves students in learning.

Position Special Requirements / Additional Information

The position may be union eligible. Union affiliation is determined by job duties and the collective bargaining unit.
