Dental Assistant – Heartland Dental We’re a brand new, state‑of‑the‑art dental office in Prosper, TX, looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to join our patient‑focused team. Bring a passion for patient care, knowledge of Dentrix, and the ability to work on a variety of procedures. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients, sustain comfort, and provide education throughout treatment. Conduct thorough review of the patient’s health history. Take and process X‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography). Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to support dentists during procedures in accordance with state regulations. Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Prepare treatment room with strict safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. If required, dental assistant certification and/or X‑ray certification. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Regular HIPAA training and protection of PHI. Preferred Experience 1+ year in a dental setting. Experience with Dentrix or similar software. Dental assisting school certification. Physical Requirements Ability to perform duties with or without accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting and standing. Can lift up to 45 pounds at times. Available for periodic virtual or in‑person training. Must pass a TB test before starting employment, except in FL & TN. Who is Heartland Dental?
