Job Description The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients who come in as part of their health routine or for insights into important health decisions.
The representative draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
This role has direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
The representative demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, this role performs daily activities accurately and on time.
It maintains a safe and professional environment, performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties, maintains required records and documentation, and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Experience Minimum of 6 months experience required.
One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Responsibilities Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the supervisor.

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and clients.
Qualification And Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
