Accounting Manager Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 Location: Macedon, NY Shape the Financial Backbone of a Growing Manufacturing Operation Nesco Resource is recruiting an Accounting Manager for a well-established local manufacturing organization. This role offers the opportunity to oversee core accounting functions, support budgeting initiatives, and collaborate across departments in a dynamic production-driven environment. Key Focus Areas Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and supporting schedules Oversee general ledger activity, including reconciliations and trial balance preparation Record and review journal entries related to revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities Monitor subsidiary accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate postings Support the annual budgeting process and report financial performance throughout the year Participate in product and item cost reviews and re-costing initiatives Coordinate internal and external audit activities as required Review and approve new supplier setups Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls Maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information Perform additional responsibilities as needed Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 3–5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data Experience working with an integrated ERP system Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams Strong organizational and analytical skills Work Setting Primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility Occasional exposure to shop-floor conditions including noise, dust, and fumes Regular use of standard office tools and systems Why Consider This Role?
