Job Overview Our client, a leading organization partnered with Aquent, is at the forefront of their industry, dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and meeting critical business needs through innovative IT solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in evaluating and improving core enterprise systems. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the functionality and performance of essential business operations, contributing directly to the organization’s strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role You will serve as a key technical expert, driving projects, system enhancements, and providing essential production support for critical enterprise asset management solutions. Your expertise will directly shape the future state of their enterprise asset management processes, transforming detailed requirements into actionable and impactful system designs.

What You’ll Do

Lead functional configuration and design for enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions.

Manage the full life cycle implementation of EAM systems, from gathering business requirements and conducting workshops to gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go‑live, training, and post‑go‑live support.

Contribute to the implementation and execution of EAM and plant maintenance processes, assessing current states, identifying customer requirements, and defining future state business solutions.

Translate detailed business requirements into comprehensive system design documents and ensure their successful implementation.

Capture business capability, functional requirements, and expected service levels to create EAM solutions that align with the long‑range business‑IT roadmap.

Support leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies, collaborating with architects, and providing advisory insights on the impact of new technologies on existing systems.

Ensure that business and functional requirements are consistently maintained throughout the development and configuration processes.

Maintain a deep understanding of technology needs and solutions relevant to various business units.

Act as a crucial liaison between clients, vendors, project management, and technical teams for all questions, issues, and revisions related to solution architecture.

Manage engagement risks and economics, including planning, budgeting, accounts receivable, defining deliverable content, and securing buy‑in for proposed solutions from business owners.

Guide and validate complex fit/gap analysis and design decisions, ensuring that any deviations from standard functionality are justified by clear business value.

Provide consulting services for both new system implementations and ongoing support projects.

Deliver ad‑hoc training and user support as needed.

Work autonomously and independently, often serving as a subject matter mentor for more junior team members.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years of experience in designing, customizing, testing, implementing, and managing enterprise asset management solutions.

Experience with a minimum of 2 full‑cycle greenfield or brownfield enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations.

Proven experience in converting new acquisitions or mergers into existing technology platforms.

Familiarity with current technology implementation patterns and best practices.

Strong, persuasive communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a strong focus on asset management.

Experience with modern Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms.

Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.

Location & Work Arrangement Hybrid opportunity in Houston (Monday through Thursday onsite; Friday remote). This role is only open to local Houston‑area candidates.
