Job Summary The Multi‑Skilled Technician (MST) is an experienced healthcare worker who provides both patient care and administrative support. MSTs in the OR perform all OR Tech responsibilities such as turning over rooms, holding for prep, stocking supplies and setting up equipment.

Responsibilities

Patient Transport – Assist in safe and efficient movement of patients between departments, ensuring comfort and documentation.

ICU/Inpatient Bed Retrieval – Manage and deliver ICU and inpatient beds following safety protocols.

Oncology Case Cart Delivery – Ensure accurate and timely delivery of oncology case carts with necessary supplies.

Specimen/Culture Transportation – Collect and transport specimens and cultures, maintaining sample integrity.

Supply Pickup – Retrieve and distribute medical supplies from central storage to various departments.

Blood Bank Runs – Transport blood products to required departments, adhering to handling guidelines.

Salary Details Hourly rate determined by years of experience, ranging from $20.00 to $28.20.

Work Schedule Full time: Monday‑Friday, 2:30 pm‑11:00 pm (2nd shift). Training required for the 1st shift, Monday‑Friday 7:00 am‑3:30 pm, for 10‑12 weeks.

Required Qualifications Applicants must possess one of the following:

Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic; or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as EMT. Licensure must be maintained active during employment.

Nursing students eligible for the CNA exam, currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (RN/LPN), having completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN or the first trimester for LPN, and not currently licensed as RN or LPN.

Patient Care Technician (PCT) or CNA certification: Provide successful completion of a Florida State Board‑approved program and obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation. Employees hired before 11/11/19 without licensure are grandfathered and may obtain the required licensure.

Mandatory Education High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate.

Required License and Certs BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR.
