Required Qualifications
At least 1 year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid radiologic technologist license within state regulations
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Other certifications or licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for procedures ensuring comfort and safety
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
Assist physicians as a scrub tech, maintain sterile field, pass instruments
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
Implement radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and procedural supplies
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members for patient care
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
Educate patients before, during, and after procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend
Work effectively with diverse personnel; maintain positive attitude
Fine‑motor skills for manipulating equipment during procedures
Ability to handle high‑pressure, irregular activity schedules
Visual acuity and effective communication
