Registered Nurse Educator – RN located in Edina, MN
Job Overview The Ebenezer Corporate office seeks a Registered Nurse Educator to deliver training and education to employees, clients, families, and the public. The position supervises and verifies skills for licensed and unlicensed nursing staff. The educator works a part‑time schedule of 60 hours every two weeks, including day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
Present educational topics related to the health care industry in large and small group settings
Demonstrate and teach nursing skills
Provide supervisory activities for licensed and unlicensed staff
Participate in research and development of presentations reflecting regulatory compliance and best practice
Maintain appropriate supplies at NEO to support effective training and competency verification
Assist with NEO workflow as needed to support the Education Coordinator
Complete special projects and program development as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate of Science in Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree – Nursing
Less than 1 year of previous experience in nursing education
Proficient in Microsoft Windows 7
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the MN Board of Nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, including CPR/AED for Health Care Providers
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN)
One to three years of previous experience in nursing education
Proficient in Eldermark Computer Documentation Software
Prior supervisory experience in a nursing setting
Prior experience in home care or assisted living environment
