Overview Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Directorate of Science & Technology.
Responsibilities
Maintain broad understanding of assigned acquisition program conforming to USSOCOM 70-1
Develop acquisition documentation to include SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, ADM, program protection plans, and FM deliverables spend plans, Congressional Briefs, ZBTs/Issues
Oversee DoD 5000.02, JCIDS/SOFCIDS, and SOF unique processes for technology projects, as well as ACAT II and III programs
Support Government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of Dir S&T program execution
Update and maintain status of S&T programs and provide decision‑quality information, recommendations, and status briefings to leadership on assigned programs and projects
Support contract modifications and make technical recommendations for change order approval
Support budget control directly supporting programmatic efforts
Provide decision support inputs for Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals, Project Proposals, Broad Area Announcement Reviews, Technical Reviews, schedules, cost estimates, cost proposals, and general studies
Apply advanced tools to document and analyze results of critical, complex activities and tasks
Plan, execute, and document surveillance of contract execution design, development, and production efforts on behalf of Government counterparts using performance indicators identified in applicable acquisition and programmatic processes
Provide expert‑level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution
Analyze trends Dir S&T performance to assist Government counterparts with managing SOF AT&L‑level performance indicators; recommend corrective action, establish lessons learned, and influence process improvement
Qualifications Citizenship:
Must be a US citizen
Clearance:
Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Certification:
DAWIA Advanced (formerly Level III) Equivalency in the Program Management, Engineering & Technical Management, or Test & Evaluation fields or ability to attain within 6 months of hire with approved customer deferral
Education:
Bachelor's degree in an acquisition, business, or related field
Years of Experience:
10 years working in Federal Government acquisition programs
Skills:
Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”
Working knowledge of project management/scheduling software applications such as MS Project
Experience with task management systems, proficient in building executive‑level briefings, and able to apply acquisition experience to formulation and consolidation of official responses to taskers, RFIs, etc.
Preferred Experience Education:
Master’s degree in Business or Acquisition and 8 years working in Federal Government acquisition programs
Additional:
Knowledge of SOF‑unique acquisition processes is valued
Experience and knowledge of Dir S&T's internal and external stakeholder organizations is highly desirable
