Executive Recruiter | LHH | Accounting & Finance Services Position Overview The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the general ledger.
Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate).
Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
