Territory Development Manager - Unilever Food Solutions

Pay : $69,360 to $104,040. Compensation decisions consider skill set, experience, training, and business needs.

Bonus : Position is bonus eligible.

Long‑Term Incentive (LTI) : Position is LTI eligible.

Purpose of the Role Drive sustainable business growth through Operator, Chain, and Trade Partner engagement. Use data and CRM tools to plan and execute sales calls, establishing yourself as a partner and growing market share. Deliver business targets such as Sales Growth, Reach & Penetration, Digital Engagement, and customer presentations.

Demand Creation

Engage with Local Chain Accounts and Operators. Accountable for business targets: Turnover, Reach, Penetration, digital, FPO (Fully Profiled Operators), Demos, Sampling.

Implement key account management, CBP, Win & Retain funnel, contact matrix with 20% online and 80% face‑to‑face calls.

Key Activities

Convert business insights into activation and solution selling.

Create concept solution selling from market trends.

Lead customers to the right solution and identify decision makers.

Prepare visits with solution recommendation and manage workflow via CRM Salesforce.

Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual sampling, ideation, cooking demos using culinary knowledge.

Follow up on previous calls to ensure opportunities progress toward close.

Secure and coordinate monthly customer orders to meet growth targets.

Meet with distributors/trade partners to expand assortment and source leads.

Build and nurture relationships with local distributor sales reps.

Implement contact matrix for key trade customers with a squad approach.

Engage trade customers to align on secondary sales data.

Implement promotions related to key seasons and events.

Ensure timely submission and settlement of claims.

Critical Skills Required for the Role

Hunter mentality with 70% hunting vs 30% farming focus.

Fast adopter of contemporary technology, including AI; highly proficient in MS Office, Power BI, Excel.

Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive in creating mutually beneficial solutions.

Curiosity and continuous learning from market trends.

Ability to sell premium brands with superiority selling stories and culinary solutions outside the center of the plate.

Bilingual (Spanish, Mandarin) is a plus.

Essential Experiences

CPG Foodservice sales (B2B).

Culinary/Chef selling experience.

Network of existing foodservice operator partners.

Distributor, ingredient, or broker sales.

Crm (Salesforce) experience.

Operator experience.

Market/Geographical knowledge.

Food university background (e.g., CIA, Food & Hospitality).

Experience in a multinational corporate environment.
