Lead Diesel Mechanic 1st Shift
WM is looking for an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Pay and Benefits
Starting salary based on experience ($55,000 - $95,000).

Schedule and Location
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 7:30 pm (occasional Saturday).
Overtime required when necessary.
Repair/maintenance shop at our De Soto, MO hauling site.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems across a fleet of trucks and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts.
Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles, prioritizing employee and community safety.
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times.
Assist senior mechanics with project work.
Review, complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Over 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination.

Physical Demands
