Supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the manager, the Lead Physical Therapist evaluates patients, plans, implements and modifies treatment programs, utilizes community resources, participates in discharge planning, performs administrative duties, participates in performance improvement, pursues professional growth, assists with student education, oversees the work of aides, COTA, volunteers, and students, and when need arises will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Responsibilities

Functions as the PT scheduling coordinator. Coordinates new PT staff mentorship and orientation including agency staff and travelers. Serves as a clinical resource for PT staff. Ensures quality of clinical practice, e.g., documentation, evidence based practice, and adherence to professional practice act. Coordinates PT meetings as needed with group facilitation, team building and education. Program development as assigned by department supervisor or director. Communicates PT staff concerns to supervisor/director. Qualifications

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Physical Therapist. BLS certification required. Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Minimum of two years acute care experience required. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist. Benefits
